Elsie had a deep interest in genealogy and spent many hours researching and preserving her familys history. She was a talented production worker and worked for many years at Roanoke Fashion in Chilhowie as well as Natalies Knitting. Before her illness she attended Primitive Baptist Church in Tumbling Creek and found great comfort in her church family and her faith. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation and special thanks to Anna Vernon at Valley Health Rehab. She was preceded in death by her husband James H. Jimmy Galliher daughter Gail Renee Henderson parents John and Clara Aistrop Helton and brother Virgil Helton. Judy was born on February 4 1943 in Marion Virginia to Horace and Lois McClellan. She grew up on Meadow Brook Farm where the foundations of her strength resilience and lifelong love for animals were formedtraits that would define her life in enduring ways. She was a proud graduate of Radford University and devoted her professional life to elementary education serving as a teacher with warmth enthusiasm and deep care for her students. Teaching was not merely her vocation but a living expression of her belief in nurturing curiosity confidence and connection. In July of 1965 she married her loving husband and mate for life Ron Bales. They were married for 56 years. Judy embodied exuberance it radiated through her in unmistakable ways.
