James A. McCloud departed to Heaven above on February 10 2026. He was born the son of the late Thomas James and Viola Martin McCloud. James was born on December 15 1940 in Dothan Alabama. He graduated from Carver High School in Dothan in May of 1958 before his studies at Alabama State College in Montgomery AL and Tuskegee Institute. Shortly after graduation he moved to Newark New Jersey to pursue a career in Engineering where he retired in 2004 from Givaudan Corp. Water Waste Treatment Plant. A service of love will be held Tuesday February 17 2026 500 p.m. at Quicks Funeral Home 118 Robeson Street Bennettsville SC 29512 with final interment taking place in Dothan Alabama at a later date.
