Rupert George Allen was born on May 11 1937 to James Allen and Lillian Gordon in the Parrish of St. Thomas Jamaica. During his youth he grew up on a farm which led to his love of gardening. When he completed secondary school he moved to Kingston at the age of 16 eventually he met his future wife Margaret Barnett. He moved to England in 1959 brought over Margaret in 1960 and on August 24 1967 they married. Between them they had five children Bolivar Ivan "Chubby" Paul Marcia and Otis. In 1979 the entire family moved to the United States. As the family settled in Rupert worked as a concrete mason and continued his trade in the United States transforming homes. Once he brought his first home every Spring you would find him tending his garden which always included beautiful flowers and vegetables. At family events he was known…
