Peggy Jean Fitzpatrick, age 71, of Marionville, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones on the family farm. She was born on September 2, 1954, in Aurora, Missouri. The daughter of Hubert and Fern (Bradley) Wells.Peggy was a 1972 graduate of Marionville High School and attended cosmetology school. She married her high school sweetheart, David Wayne Fitzpatrick on Oct 26, 1974, in Marionville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2014.Peggy worked at JC Penney in Springfield, Missouri, before starting a 40-year career with H&R Block where she mentored and trained numerous tax professionals. She managed her offices with a stern loving grace and was a rock to many. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Marionville, where she loved to bake cookies for VBS.
