Nursing was not just her profession but her calling. She carried her commitment to service with grace and determination continuing to work in the field she loved until the remarkable age of 80. Her work ethic and devotion were an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Kimily "Kim" Buxton was born in DeQuincy Louisiana to Cruse and Margaret Cooley on January 3 1963 and passed away February 12 2026 at the age of 63. Kim shares her birthday with her twin sister Kit. She was a lifelong resident of DeQuincy graduating from DeQuincy High School in 1981. In 1986 she married Dennis "Demp" Buxton. She is survived by her husband Demp children Cody Buxton Stephanie and Chelsie Buxton grandchildren Blaire LeBlanc Garrett Kennedy Buxton and Kobey Buxton great grandchild Reeve LeBlanc siblings Raymond Cooley Pat and Kit Spinelli Don her fur babies Pistol and Jed along with numerous nieces nephews extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Cruse and Margaret Cooley and siblings Ronald "Toup" Cooley and Pamela Cooley.
