Larry Carlye Patterson 76 Shelbyville died Sunday February 8 2026 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital following an illness. A native of Shelbyville he was the son of the late Edward Theodore Patterson and Anna Catherine Newton Patterson. He was a handyman for many years doing home repairs for many local families. He enjoyed doing things with his hands and helping others. In his leisure time he enjoyed gardening and planting. He was an avid U. of L. Cardinals fan. He played basketball as a youth and he still enjoyed playing basketball with his grandson. He was Baptist by faith. In addition to his parents his longtime devoted companion Lynnette Price his sister Mary Ann Booker his brother Edward Patterson and his beloved dog Angel preceded him in death.
