Mrs. Sue Pierce Howard of Lexington Kentucky formerly of Albany Kentucky passed away on Saturday February 7 2026 at The Willows at Hamburg in Lexington Kentucky having attained the age of 95 years 5 months and 2 days. She was born in Albany Kentucky on September 5 1930 the daughter of Frank Mary Denton Hickman Pierce. She devoted many years of service to the Commonwealth of Kentucky advocating for special needs adoption and even testifying before Congress to bring greater attention and support to the cause. At home she found joy in the simple pleasures of life playing cards with her family reading a good book and crocheting. She also enjoyed spending her afternoons playing video games particularly on the original Nintendo where Metroid Mario and especially Zelda were among her favorites.
