Dr. Jay Tittman 103 of Danbury husband of the late Eleanor Gelber Tittman died on Wednesday February 11 2026 at Danbury Hospital. Dr. Tittman was born in Bayonne N.J. on December 28 1922 to Martin D. and Julia Rosenblum Tittman. He attended New Jersey schools received his Bachelors degree in Physics from Drew University and his Masters degree and Ph.D from Columbia University. From 1944 to 1946 he served on active duty with the U.S. Navy serving as an assistant electronics officer at the Charleston Navy Yard and a radar and electronics officer on staff of Commodore LST Flotilla 16 Pacific Theater. Dr. Tittman held positions in physics research at SchlumbergerDoll Research Center Ridgefield and in engineering at Schlumberger headquarters in Houston TX.
