Mary M. Jens, 75, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026 at Pine Haven where she had resided the past 6 ½ years.Mary was born on November 4, 1950 to the late Roland and Lucille (Stange) Jens. She attended St. John Lutheran School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1968. In 1972, she graduated from Stout State University with a degree in Home Economics. She began her teaching career at Oconto Falls High School. In 1978, she returned to school at the University of Wisconsin to further her studies in Food Sciences.Mary’s career as a Food Scientist took her from Madison to Memphis to Seattle then to Baltimore before retiring from Nuvex Ingredients in Blue Earth, Minnesota.Shortly after Mary returned to the Plymouth area to be closer to family she suffered a brain injury caused by encephalitis.
