Kathleen M. Kay Bones age 96 of Elroy Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday February 10 2026 at Cottage Care Circle in Mauston. Kay was born to Clarence and Mattie Skinner on September 29 1929. She spent her childhood growing up in the Elroy area where she met and married Ed Bones on July 6 1949. Together they built a family business beginning with Eds Photo Shop which they ran out of their home. Later in 1957 they purchased the Elroy Theatre. Following Eds death in 1983 Kay continued to run the theatre for the next 23 years. They were blessed with 4 children Kirk Mary who passed away Bones Kerry Bones Joel Joan Bones and Lisa Jerry Cattle five granddaughters Julie Amundson Jamie Sal Emily Kevin Merk Erika Rich Roberts and Kristyna Nasko Kolev and five great grandchildren Elijah Isaac Adam Ashlyn and Bryson.
