Brenda Sue Newsome age 76 of Matewan WV passed away at her home early Thursday morning February 12 2026. She was born on October 26 1949 in Newtown WV. She was a daughter to the late William Franklin Newsome and Emma Jean Cooper Newsome. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie McArthur Hinkle Sr. her daughter Rhonda Kay Hinkle and her brothers William Junebug Newsome Rush Franklin Newsome and Albert Eugene Newsome. Brenda was a homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family and keeping a loving home. She will be especially remembered as an amazing Nana. She enjoyed sitting on her porch with a cup of coffee no matter the weather. When she was able she enjoyed going to bingo and she cherished her fur babies Trouble and Lucky.
