Karen June Barton age 72 of War WV passed away Wednesday February 11 2026 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke VA. Born November 9 1954 she was a daughter of the late Jesse Woods and Mary Rose Woods. Karen was of the Christian faith. She loved watching television and cooking but most of all she cherished spending time with her family. Billy Thomas Taylor age 88 of Tazewell VA passed away peacefully Thursday February 12 2026 at his home. Born on August 18 1937 he was the son of the late Isaac Thomas Taylor and Ida Mae French Taylor. Tom was of the Christian faith and he was a devoted member of Bundys Chapel. An outgoing and talented man Tom was a great storyteller and musicianhe loved making music and he was one of the last singing cowboys. He was quite an accomplished writer having published A Book of Poems and Short Stories by Tom Taylor. Tom never met a stranger and he loved his church family his horses his animals and farming.
