Betty May Brown age 81 of 214 Chapel Drive Covington Virginia died on Tuesday February 10 2026 at her residence. Betty was born on June 20 1944 in Alleghany County Virginia to the late Jessie Lee and Beulah Pearl Andrews May. She was a homemaker through her life and a member of Emory United Methodist Church in Natural Well. She loved being outside growing flowers gardening weed eating and driving the tractor. She also enjoyed cooking and listening to the music of Elvis Presley. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by a daughter Tammy Lynette Brown seven brothers Edwin Buddy May Berlin May Basil May Ralph May Carlos May Danny May and Freddie May and four sisters Edith Ehlers Christine Young Barbara Carpenter and twin sister Pat Shiflett.
