It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Benjamin R. Barrera a beloved husband father grandfather and greatgrandfather who departed this life on February 7 2026 at the age of 90. Born on November 23 1935 in La Rosita Texas Benjamin lived a full and rich life making cherished memories. Benjamin was a simple and straightforward man. He dedicated 35 years of his life to the City of Corpus Christis water department where he became well known for his dedication and commitment to his job. He approached each day with an easy going demeanor never asking for much yet enjoying each day that passed. In June Benjamin celebrated a remarkable 70 years of marriage to his beloved wife Esperanza Barrera.
