Life begins with God, and each person who receives this gift from God must use it to glorify Him: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10). On October 27, 1934 God gave life to Jerome Waldo Hamlet Niswonger, M.D., who, early in his childhood, chose a life of good works. From the time his mother read him stories about Dr. David Livingstone, young Jerry determined to become a doctor, ultimately graduating from Loma Linda University Medical School in 1962. During his medical career, he acquired specialties in Ob/Gyn and Ophthalmology.Embarking upon the medical profession was only the start of Dr. Niswonger’s life of service.
