James "Jimmy" Patrick Scott

James Jimmy Patrick Scott passed away on February 3 2026 at the age of 73. Jimmy was born on January 31 1953 to Christine and Sidney Scott. He graduated from Jourdanton High School where he played football and then continued his football career at Sul Ross University. After graduating from college Jimmy coached at Pleasanton ISD before beginning his 40 year career with the railroad working as a conductor for both Southern Pacific and Union Pacific railroads. Jimmy was a devoted father and grandfather and beloved lifelong friend to many. He was an avid golfer loved watching sporting events especially the Dallas Cowboys. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Christine and Sidney Scott and his brother in laws James Vyvlecka and Gene Matocha. Our beloved Dwayne Patricia Patty Paul known to us simply as Mimi went home to be with Jesus on February 8 2026 at the age of 80. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by love prayer and the family she devoted her life to. Patty was born in San Antonio Texas and from the very beginning she carried a gentle strength and deep compassion for others. She spent many years caring for people as a nurse and caregiver but those who knew her best admire that her greatest calling was devoting herself to her family and friends.
