Kenneth Dale Lundquist age 88 of Sioux Falls SD died February 10 2026 at Sanford Hospital. A visitation will be held at the Miller Southside Chapel 7400 S Minnesota Ave Sioux Falls SD on Monday February 16 from 4pm to 6pm. The service is scheduled for Tuesday February 17 at 11am at the Harrisburg United Methodist Church followed by a light luncheon. Internment with military honors will follow at 2pm at the Veterans Cemetery in Sioux Falls SD. Ken was born on February 27 1937 to Arthur and Minnie Homuth Lundquist in Erwin SD. After graduating from Erwin High School in 1955 he joined the U.S. Army spending much of his service time in Germany. He was a member of Sioux Falls American Legion Post 911. Leone was born to Fred and Ruth Egger nee Johnson of Crooks SD at McKennan Hospital a hospitalbirth being unusual then in Sioux Falls SD SF on March 2 1923 and died in her cozy little home surrounded by family on February 12 2026 just a few weeks shy of her 103rd birthday. Though she often said that the second century of life is much harder than the first to the end she lived a full and happy life and she was grateful to the Lord for every day of life. She is loved by many who dearly will miss her. The Egger family moved to the Lakeside Dairy Farm when Leone was 11 and she graduated as Class Salutatorian from Harrisburg High School in 1940. His memorial service will be held at 1000 a.m. on Wednesday February 18 2026 at George Boom Funeral Home OnSite Crematory in Sioux Falls. Visitation with the family present will take place from 500 p.m. to 700 p.m. on Tuesday February 17 2026 also at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Hartford Community Cemetery in Hartford SD.
