Betty Ruth Motter 88 of Lock Haven was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday February 11 2026. Born October 12 1937 in Howard she was a daughter of the late Harold H. and Bernice M. Chaffee Amick. On November 24 1955 she married her best friend William E. Motter with whom she shared 55 years of marriage before his passing in 2011. Throughout the years Betty held various jobs including working at Woolrich and serving as a cook at various restaurants as well as a caretaker. She retired from Weis Markets where she worked in the deli. Her favorite job though was the sheep skin business she ran with her husband Bill. Betty could often be found in the kitchen baking her excellent apple pie amongst other delicious treats that she gave away to her family and friends.
