Gerald K. Kanzig age 83 of Ashland passed away on February 7 2026 at The Good Shepherd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Centerville Ohio on May 16 1942 the son of Harry W. and Vera E. Kirkbright Kanzig he had been a resident of Ashland County since 1960. On September 26 1959 he was married to Barbara Jean Stump who preceded him in death on November 7 2017. Mr. Kanzig retired from Smetzs Tire Center and had also been employed at Ashland Tire. He loved going to car shows and spending time with his family. Surviving are three children Keith Ann Kanzig of Ashland Dennis Kanzig of Ashland and Lisa Matt KanzigAdams of Ashland. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In addition to his wife Barbara he is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings Starling Kanzig Helen Carpenter and Harry Kanzig.…
