Jane Bull Kinney, 96 years old, of Southern Pines, North Carolina, passed away on February 11, 2026.Alice Jane Bull was born in Metropolis, Illinois on April 19th, 1929, the second child of Sally and Gilbert Bull. Jane had an older sister, Elaine. In the Metropolis Community Schools, she played saxophone in the band, was a cheerleader, a girl scout and salutatorian of her senior class. Jane then attended Monticello College in Alton, Illinois and the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Education and Home Economics.During her college years, Jane and her good friend Jean Decker (Fortney) would ride the trains to Manitou Springs, Colorado and work as waitresses at the famous Cliff House at the base of Pikes Peak. She faced this illness with an abundance of strength, humor, and grace, and when she passed, she was surrounded by family who loved her fiercely.Always a fan of Shakespeare, she would have advised that “brevity is the soul of wit,” as we set out to pen her obituary. William M. Mosbrook, 88, of Seven Lakes, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Quail Haven facility after a short convalescence. He was born in Wilmington, Delaware on March 26, 1937, the second of three sons to the late Charlys W. and Joseph S. Mosbrook who retired in Pinehurst.Bill attended Tower Hill School in Wilmington, graduated from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, and received a Master’s in Business Administration at Loyola University in Chicago. He worked in sales for various national corporations such as DuPont and Varian, concentrating in medical diagnostic equipment. His work necessitated extensive worldwide travel. He ultimately retired in California, Arizona, and finally in North Carolina.Bill’s biggest enjoyment was boating with his late wife of twenty-five years, Evelyn Dehner.
