Gloria Dean Hodges Carroll, 80 of Dunn passed away on February 12, 2026, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Alton Carroll, daughter, Karen Beam Browne, parents, Leonard and Eloise Hodges, her in-laws Alton & Ruby Carroll, a brother, John Ellsworth Hodges and a nephew, Robert Daniel Core.Gloria grew up in the Bethesda Friends Meeting, a Quaker Church where her family worshiped.Gloria was proud of the fact that even though she did not pursue education beyond Midway High School, she held several very prestigious positions throughout her working career.
