Mrs. Gloria Ann Alligood Woolard age 83 a resident of Washington NC died Tuesday February 10 2026 at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1100 a.m. Tuesday February 17 2026 at the Alligood Family Cemetery on the family farm. The service will be officiated by Marty Alligood. The family will receive friends from 600 p.m. until 800 p.m. Monday February 16 2026 at Paul Funeral Home Crematory of Washington. Mrs. Gloria was born in Beaufort County on August 4 1942 daughter of the late Lewis Carmer Alligood and the late Mary Louise Whitaker Alligood. She was a graduate of Bath High School and continued her education at ECU College where she earned her BA degree in education. Mr. Edgar Thornton E.T. Sawyer Jr. age 82 a resident of Pantego NC died Wednesday February 11 2026 at the ECU Medical Center Beaufort Campus in Washington. A graveside service will be held at 200 p.m. Saturday February 21 2026 at the JonesRuss Cemetery officiated by Pastor Maggie SimpenkneeMensa. Mr. E.T. was born in Beaufort County on October 12 1943 son of the late Edgar T. Sawyer Sr. and the late Mary Clyde Boyd Sawyer. He was a graduate of Bath High School and continued his education at East Carolina College where he completed his BS in Accounting. On December 27 1964 he married the former Katie Mae Chambers who preceded him in death on February 21 2012. On September 30 2017 he married the former Peggy Pittman Adams who survives.
