Like the commemoration of St. Valentine she had a heart of gold and a courageous heart of a lion. Gloria Linda was born under the astrological sign Leo on July 27 1941 in a small town of Ilocos Sur Philippines to WW2 hero Telesforo D. Dasalla and war widow Esperanza Dasalla. She was the only child. As a studious child she was selected to meet and greet the Pope. Then as a nursing student she was voted by her university community to meet the Pope again as another honor. She was a proud graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison and went on to work as a controller at Barnes Chevrolet in Summit, where she was employed for more than 30 years.Irene was a member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church and actively involved in her community.
