Raymond was born on June 11 1933 in St. Johnsbury VT to Rosaire and Marie Blanche Couture Poliquin. He graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1951. Ray married Gloria Lamarche on October 26 1953 while he was serving in the US Army. He served as a cook at Ft. George G. Mead in Laurel Maryland from 1953 through 1955. Their daughter Michele Rae was born while he was serving his country. After he was discharged they moved back to St. Johnsbury where Ray went to work for the Great Atlantic Pacific Tea Co. A P and was transferred to Woodsville NH and stayed with them from 1951 to 1979. Ray worked his way up from a parttime position in high school to a store manager in Woodsville NH. The Company…
