Billie Whithorn born October 20 1934 in Taft California passed away surrounded by the legacy of a life rooted in family faith and service. Billie was the beloved daughter of Richard and Lena Cox Rosson. After graduating from Arroyo Grande Community College she began her career with the Department of Defense. It was during this time that she met Russell Jacobs a young Navy sailor from Edgar Nebraska. Together they built a family and welcomed three children. Billie later made her home in Edgar where she devoted herself to raising her children and becoming an active part of the community. She taught Sunday school sharing her faith and kindness with generations of local children and worked at the local caf where she was well known for her warm spirit and friendly smile. Later in life Billie married Warren Grossman. After Warrens passing she found love again and married Clarus Whithorn…
