Matt was born on November 13 1988 in St. Paul Nebraska to Jerome and Hazel Mickie Schrader. He graduated from Palmyra High School. Following high school he worked various jobs in the Lincoln area where he built friendships and connections that lasted throughout the years. Matt found great peace and enjoyment in fishing. Whether casting a line on a quiet day or spending time outdoors with family and friends fishing was one of the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. Matt faced personal struggles with addiction and mental health throughout his life. These challenges were part of his journey and he fought battles that many never saw. His family hopes that by sharing this others who are struggling will know they are not alone and will reach out for help. Mark William Frantz of Lincoln passed away February 5 2026 at the age of 59. Mark was born in Lincoln on June 20 1966 to Wendell and Marilyn Petersan Frantz. Mark graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School and studied art at the University of Nebraska. From a young age he had an interest in art starting when he was allowed to draw in church to help him sit still. This early interest eventually grew into a lifelong pursuit. Mark was a painter whose work was shown locally later his interest turned to computer animation. In his free time Mark enjoyed discussing politics feeding the backyard birds and hanging out with his fiance and their two cats. Mark is survived by his fiance Dana Petersen.
