Donald M Walsh DVM Don aged 80 passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Feb. 5 2026. Don had a deep love for family friends and all of Gods creatures both great and small. The impact of his life on his family and friends is immense. Don was born in St. Louis MO and knew as a young boy he would become a veterinarian. Don was a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine Columbia and lovingly cared for small animals and horses for 56 years. He founded Homestead Veterinary Hospital in Pacific Missouri. His keen interest was Equine Laminitis a disease of the horses foot. He started the Animal Health Foundation in 1985 a nonprofit charity which raised funds for research into this disease. Earl C. Schmidt Jr. passed away on February 9 2026 at the age of 86. He was born and raised in St. Louis and graduated from Washington University with a degree in accounting. In 1967 he married Marianne Percy and together they owned and operated the Party Pastry Shop bakery for 40 years. His passion was always baking and he continued to do that even in his retirement years. He was an accomplished pianist and loved music. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Marianne Schmidt. He is also survived by his children Walter Pamela Schmidt Anne Michael Noonan Andrew Laurie Schmidt and Elizabeth Schmidt.
