JoAnna “Jody” Kyte, 89, Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, following an illness.Jody was born in Carthage, Missouri, on January 14, 1937, to Nadine (Russell) Dyer and John Dyer. She was the oldest of 5 siblings. Jody graduated from Carthage High School in 1955.On October 5, 1957, Jody married Roger “Warren” Kyte. Three sons were born to this union. Many years were spent on the family farm, where they raised their boys along with a myriad of beloved pets.Jody was a dedicated public servant. She worked for 56 years in the Jasper County Clerk’s Office, serving under nine different county clerks during her time. Throughout her life, she maintained close friendships from both high school and her workplace, meeting regularly with friends.She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Carthage and enjoyed worshiping with her church family.Though she loved her work and life…
