Glenda Joy Dupre Ortego 85 passed away peacefully on February 11 2026 at her home in Walker LA. Joy was filled with joie de vivre known for her love of family and friends with particular fondness for her Council on Aging cohort in Denham Springs LA. Born in Grand Prairie Joy lived most of her adult life in Baton Rouge retiring to Livingston Parish in later years. She was proud of her Cajun culture and loved listening to French music. She kept the chickens stray cats and her daily companion her granddog Ruby well fed. Known for her green thumb and ability to make magic in the kitchen she loved nurturing plants and flowers as well as anyone who came home to visit.
