Shirley Groves 90 E. 20th Street Hopkinsville KY passed away Thursday February 12 2026 at Christian Health Center Hopkinsville KY of natural causes. A graveside service will be held at 1000 a.m. Tuesday February 17 2026 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Bro. McKinley Moore officiating. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. A native of Evansville IN she was born January 17 1936 the daughter of the late William Isaac Smith and the late Marcilla Mary Miller Smith. Shirley was a service operator at Hopkinsville Shoe Factory for 15 years. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1913. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Willie B. Groves her granddaughter Hailee Powell her brothers William "Billy" Smith Jack Smith her sisters Anita Mayo Norma "Nornie" Etheridge Jo Ann Hines Patricia "Pat" Dillman Sandra Howard Rosalie Beck and MaryAnne Gish.
