Jerry Tiefel 83 passed away peacefully Monday February 9 2026 at his home in Brazil surrounded by his family. He was born on June 1 1942 in Terre Haute Indiana to the late Albert and Cleo Gettle Tiefel. Jerry graduated from Cory High School in 1960 and married Karen Oxby on June 8 1963. He was a life long farmer and worked for the AMAX Coal Company for almost 40 years. Jerry was a member of the North Union Methodist Church and a 50 year member of the Center Point Masonic Lodge. Jerry loved farming and working in his gardens. When he wasnt working he enjoyed fishing playing euchre with his buddies in Center Point and spending time with his family.
