Lyndle L. Scranton 100 of rural Nebo IL passed away Wednesday evening 21126 at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield. He married Ollie May McAfee on September 25 1948 in Pittsfield at the Pike County Courthouse with Judge Lee Capps officiating. Lyndle was employed as a lineman for the Wabash Railroad for 43 years retiring in 1989. He was a Christian man who loved his family friends and community. Survivors include two children Darrell Scranton of Pleasant Hill and Diane Simpson of Nebo ten grandchildren eight great grandchildren two greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Lyndle was preceded in death by his parents wife two sons Mike Scranton and Steve Scranton three sisters and three brothers. Lyndle was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Funeral services will be held Monday 21626 at 100 p.m. at the Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill. Burial will follow at the Nebo…
