Roger Dean Primm of DeKalb IL died on February 1 2026. The world lost one of the best huggers. Once you received a Roger Hug you never missed an opportunity to get another one. He was born on May 21 1950 to Kenneth and Elsie Primm. He grew up on the family farm in Sycamore Illinois with his brothers Charles and Mark. As an adult he continued to farm with Charles growing corn and soybeans as well as raising beef cattle and hogs. Although he worked in the IT department at Ideal Industries and the DeKalb Clinic he was always a farmer at heart. Roger spent many years finding new ways to help at Salem Lutheran Church. Ushering changing lightbulbs serving on the Executive Committee and mowing the lawn were just a few of his normal duties although his daredevil ladder tricks while hanging banners will be remembered the longest.…
