Sharon Theresa Phillips born March 7 1949 in New York City died January 20 2026. She was the daughter of William Joseph Phillips Sr. and Pansy Poindexter Phillips. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Howard University School of Pharmacy in 1974 and devoted nearly four decades of service to the District of Columbia Department of Behavioral Health retiring in October 2024 as Lead Pharmacist. She also worked as a pharmacist with CVS. Guided by her Catholic faith Sharon lived a life of service generosity and care for the dignity of others. She was known for warmth intellect and kindness. She is survived by her brother William J. Phillips Jr. and is lovingly remembered by many extended family members and dear friends whose lives she touched. Rogers widely respected retired health care sales and marketing manager with her daughter Lauren and sisterinlaw Joanna by her side peacefully departed this life in home hospice in Silver Spring MD after a long illness. Angella Dorothea Ferguson was born in Washington D.C. on February 15 1925 the fifth of six children born to the late Mary Burden Pettiford Ferguson and George Alonzo Ferguson Sr. She received her primary and secondary education in the District of Columbia Public School System and was a graduate of Cardozo Senior High School in 1942. A highly motivated student she excelled in her studies and was very active in various organizations at Cardozo High School including the National Honor Society Honor Roll Club Radio Workshop and Orchestra.
