It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear sister Virginia McCollin after a long battle with multiple myeloma. DeeDee, as she was affectionately called by her family, was born in New York City to Martin and Margaret Serdenia. A few years later, they moved their growing family to Brooklyn, CT.Virginia was blessed with a beautiful singing voice performing at many school functions, weddings, and many other venues including nursing homes. After Virginia graduated from Killingly High School, she moved to Oakland, CA for several years, then to New York City working in the business field. She moved back to CT working in several hospitals in the Hartford area. Her last job was with a dialysis center, where she loved working with the patients.She met and married her husband Arthur, who was devoted to her until his passing in 2023.
