WINSTED – Diane Elsie (Williams) Vickers, 85, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Frederick R. Vickers. Born November 5, 1940 in Bristol; the daughter of the late Abraham and Elsie (McCurdy) Williams.Diane worked for many years as a CNA. She loved going to the casino and enjoyed attending car shows with Fred, playing dominos and using her phone for facebook and sending messages to her family. BARKHAMSTED – Robert J. Stadler, III, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2026. He was the loving husband of the late Carole L. Stadler for 64 years. Born January 27, 1939 in New Britain; the son of the late Robert and Eunice (Mann) Stadler.Robert lived in Barkhamsted with his family since 1965. He was a Charter Member and President of the Blizzard Lizards Snowmobile Club for 10 years. He loved hunting and fishing in Alaska.He enjoyed golfing at Saker Farms Country Club for 23 years.He is survived by three sons, Robert Stadler, III, Randy Stadler and Barry Stadler; grandchildren, Cole, Kyle, Tabatha and Lauren; brothers, Richard Stadler and wife Loretta and Paul Stadler and wife Beverly; and many nieces and nephews and extended family.Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
