Mr. Bill Avery age 70, of Wadley passed away on February 6, 2026 at his residence in Wadley. No services are planned at this time but a memorial service will be planned at a later date.Bill was born in Talladega, Alabama and lived in the surrounding area most of his life. He was a policeman most of his life and was very well respected. Bill was a larger than life character with a huge sense of humor. Always willing to help anyone and usually ran into a friend everywhere he went, people were just drawn to him. He loved his family, Alabama Football and a good rib. Funeral services for Mr. David Reid Knight, age 66 of Trussville, Alabama, will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral in Lineville with Rev. Jonathan Lambert and Martha Stanford officiating. Burial will follow in the Lineville City Cemetery.David was born in Birmingham and graduated from Banks High School Class of 77, then attended UAB for 3 years. He retired from Hayes International with 20 years of service followed by 20 years of service with UAB in the Financial Services Department. He loved spending time with his grandbabies, going for rides on his Harley, and was a big Auburn fan.He is survived by his father; Jimmy R.
