Memorial Services for Mrs. Patsy Allen, 76, of Liberty City will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Liberty City with Reverend Bill Hughes and Reverend Paul Michael Vacca officiating. The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore on Tuesday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Private family burial services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler. Mrs. Allen passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017.

Patsy was born on October 29, 1940 in Centralia, Illinois. She graduated from Jacksonville High School. Patsy worked as a bank teller, working in Tyler, Mountain Home, Kilgore, and Longview. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Liberty City. Patsy enjoyed entertaining her friends and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Patsy is survived by her husband Byron Allen of Liberty City; children, Kim Birdwell and husband Tom of Chandler, TX, Keith Hammons and wife Carol of Lindale, TX, Melinda Hornbeck and husband, Larry of Texarkana, TX, Joel Allen and wife Kathy of Plano TX, Stephen Allen and wife Beverly of Woodland Park, CO., and Annette Ashley and husband, Rick of Foreman AR., and Charles Allen (deceased) and wife Sue Allen of Liberty City; sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Don Leigh of Texarkana, TX; aunt, June Safreed of Tulsa, OK; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Mary Viola Landrum and her first husband Charles Hammons.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, TX 75701.
