Services for Lynda Williams, 67, of Liberty City will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Trinity Assembly of God Church in Kilgore with Rev. Brad Williams, Rev. Brian Williams and Rev. Roger Hoffpowier officiating, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview. Mrs. Williams entered into eternal glory on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in her home surrounded by her family. 

Lynda was born on November 9, 1949 in Kilgore to Edgar Ray and Loretta Callens. She graduated from Kilgore High School and then Kilgore College. She married her husband Steve in 1969. She worked in law enforcement for Gregg County for 25 years as a Juvenile Probation Officer and then 3 years as the Warden for Marvin A. Smith Correctional Center. Lynda enjoyed camping, golfing, fishing and singing. Her family was the source of her strength and joy, spending time with them was when she was happiest.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Steve Williams of Liberty City; sons and daughters-in-law, Brad and Sandra Williams, Brian and Kristi Williams; four grandsons, Ryan Williams and his wife Kristen, Michael, Aaron and Wade Williams; mother-in-law Becky Boyd and her husband G.W. “Chub”; two brothers-in-law Gary Williams and his wife Carolyn, Scott Williams and a special sister friend Judy Foster. Also, left to carry on her legacy are numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other loving family members.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law James Paul Williams.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.
