Glenn Ray Watson, 87, of Wolfe City, passed away Sunday, Nov. 12 at his residence. Mr. Watson was born on Oct. 5, 1930 in the Black Cat Thicket Community near Wolfe City to William Manford and Oreta Fulton O’Neal Watson. He married Linda Beth Baker in Pasadena, Tx. On July 19, 1963 and was owner/operator of Glenn Watson Dirt Contracting and a member of the First Baptist Church of Wolfe City also served in the United States Marines during the Korean War. Survivors are 2-sons; Britt Watson and wife Donna and Neal Watson and wife Teresa; 1 daughter Shannon LaFavers and husband Kevin. 4-sisters; Nancy Parsons, Frankie Gregory, Marie Collins and Debra Martin; 6 brothers; Dewey Watson, Joe Watson, Danny Watson, Medford Watson, Jerry Watson and Don Watson. 16 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a brother Darrell Watson. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Nov. 17th at the First Baptist Church in Wolfe City at 10:30 A.m. conducted by Baker Hughes and Chaplain Tommy Morgan, burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be at the R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers
