Jack grew up here in Nacogdoches, where he spent his childhood alongside his siblings. He enjoyed being outside and loved to go fishing. As a young man, he drove a truck and enjoyed seeing the countryside. He later began his career as a machinist at Bright Coop, where he retired after almost 50 years. Jack enjoyed his quiet time and loved his nieces and nephews. He was a kind and loving man, who would help others as often as he could. He had several close friends that he enjoyed meeting in town for coffee, typically sharing stories of the past and always speaking of the weather, which was a passion Jack had. He also thoroughly enjoyed listening to old country music.
