She graduated from Kaufman High School in 1962 and attended Henderson County Jr College as a majorette. She went on to enjoy a life well lived. Nita worked side by side with her husband Jim for over 30 years running a transportation company. It is now run by her son and daughter which made her very proud.
She is preceded in death by her parents, J.F. and Vera Trail, one brother, John Trail; one sister, Janell Powell. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Jim Ingram, daughter, Lee Ann Ingram of Garland, Tx and son, Craig, his wife Stephanie and 2 grandchildren, Ella and Lilee. Also survived by her constant companion of 14 years, her dog Abi.
Nita was her own person but always knew how to bring people together. She loved hosting parties, decorating for holidays, and anything regarding family made it extra special for her. Nita was loved and cherished by many, especially all the animals that touched her life. She was the most self-less, generous, kind and loving wife and mother anyone could ever want. She was often told by her children and their friends how lucky we were to have her as our Mom.
Nita loved her family, cooking, First Monday, reading, sewing, gardening, nature and taking spontaneous trips to the casino with her husband Jim, her lucky charm. And she LOVED her community, Emerald Bay.
Mama was one of a kind and will be missed tremendously by her precious family and large circle of friends.
There will be a service held on Monday, January 15 at 1:00 pm in the Emerald Bay Community Church, 160 La Salle Rd, Bullard, TX 75757. Nita would love for you to wear bright, vivid colors to the memorial service.
