Graveside funeral services for Mr. Tony Pierce, 58, of Beckville, Texas will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Restland Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Matt Comer officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Friday night at Hawthorn’s. Mr. Pierce died August 10, 2017 in Tyler, Texas.
Mr. Jim Anthony “Tony” Pierce was born October 30, 1958. He was the only son born to the marriage of Jim Edward and Hazel Jeanette Garvin Pierce. He was raised and schooled in Carthage graduating with the class of 1977. Tony would begin working construction and in offshore oil. He worked over 20 years for Texas Utilities and many years for the Panola County Sheriff’s Dept. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, horses, bull riding and loved karate. He is preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Ashley Jeanette Pierce.
Mr. Pierce is survived by his mother, Hazel Pierce of Beckville, wife, Andrea Jones Pierce of Beckville and her children, Kayla Bordelon and Jacob Josiah Bordelon, Jade Carpenter and Blake Metcalf, aunt, Sarita Garvin of Round Rock, and her son Dax Garvin and husband Michael Cahill and their daughter, Emerson Rose; aunt, Almedia Gage and husband Tom of Longview and her two children, Pam Mihlhauser and husband Steve and their children, Alison Smith and husband Corey of Wylie, Brittany Ford and husband Ryan of Carthage, her second daughter, Janet Centers and husband Tal of Montgomery, and her children, Cole Centers and wife Jessica of Conroe, Codi Leggett and husband Aaron of The Woodlands, many other relatives and a host of friends.
