Leonard W. Fieseler 93, of Reno, died at 7:06 AM, Friday, January 12, 2018 at his home. Funeral services are set for 11:00 AM, Monday, January 15, 2018 at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Toby Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
L.W. was born September 21, 1924 in Vernon, Texas to W.A. and Hilda Shur Fieseler. He married Amie Marie Jones on December 31, 1949 in Vernon. Mr. Fieseler was retired after 22 ½ years of service with the Texas Highway Department. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Amie Fieseler of Reno; one daughter, Brenda Hill of Powderly; six grandchildren, Kayla Haynes and husband, Jerry, John Lee Hill, Chad Hill, Tammra Fitzgerald and husband, Jonathan, Connie Dewees, and Stacie Byrd; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Fieseler on June 5, 2017; his parents; two brothers, Herbert and Clarance Fieseler; and two sisters, Helen Rawls and Mildred Fieseler.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Haynes, Chad Hill, John Lee Hill, Jonathan Fitzgerald, Jonathan Leonard Fitzgerald, and Bobby Pendergraft. Honorary pallbearers are John Hill and Roger Jones.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Platinum Home Health & Hospice for the wonderful and loving care they gave to Mr. Fieseler.
