George Alvin Caraway, III, age 66, of Naples, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017, in Texarkana, Texas. George was born August 23, 1951 in Naples, Texas to George Alvin Caraway, Jr. and Patsy Jeannine Vissering Caraway.

George was a member at First United Methodist Church in Naples, where he was a member of the choir, served as chairman of the administrative board, and chairman of the board of trustees. He retired after many years with Broseco Ranch. He was a member of the Morris County Cattlemen’s Association and Naples Rodeo Club.   He enjoyed spending time outdoors, raising cattle, riding horses, and reading Louis L’Amour books.

George was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Sydney Caraway.

Surviving family members include his wife, of 46 years, Andrea Caraway of Naples, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, George A. Caraway, IV “Topper” and wife Lindsay of Round Rock, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Brad and Mary Caraway of Naples, Texas and Kent and Wanda Caraway of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; one sister, Melissa Caraway of Coppell, Texas; also Freddy, Christina, Ishmael and Camilla Mendez; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at First United Methodist Church in Naples with Rev. Jack Cox and Rev. Jay Barnes officiating. Interment will follow at Vissering Cemetery in Naples. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
