Deborah Gayle Willis Baker, 66, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Friday afternoon, Dec. 1, 2017, in Longview. She was born on March 12, 1951, in Shreveport to Frank Garrish and Edith Grace Cockrell Willis. Debbie graduated from Carthage High School and attended Panola College. She married Billy Ray Baker on Jan. 10, 1970, in Carthage and he preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her mother, Edith Winterrowd of Deadwood; sons, Jamey Baker and wife Sharon of Gary, Phillip Baker and wife Holly of Gary, Scotty Baker and wife Rebeka of Gary, and Chance Baker and life partner Mattie of Carthage; brother, Jim Willis and wife Patricia of Deadwood; sister, Vicki Barker and husband Claude of Carthage; grandchildren, Hailey Tanner and husband Dalton, and Colby, Alaina, Jordan, Brent, Trinity, Dustin, Leigh-Anna, and Bentley Baker; and a great-grandchild, Ryder Blayne on the way. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive Mrs. Baker.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Speights and Bro. Dale Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Adams Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Colby Baker, Dalton Tanner, Dusty Watson, Joshua Shubert, Zach Johnson, and Dennis Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Jordan Baker, Brent Baker, Dustin Baker, and Bentley Baker.
